Hey guys,
I owned a SSV a few years ago, and I loved it. Not one thing was wrong with it. I guess the only thing I would've changed is a way for the wand to be secured to the heating ceramic so I wouldn't have to hold it on there. Even then, I think they had a clamp available for that. Regardless, I got it for $190, brand new, at the time. I thought it was the bang for the buck. I had great flavor, good efficiency, no hassle in operating it, big hits, and great control over the temperature. I took a lot of time to acquaint myself with the SSV. I know throughout my research on this forum, many of you have commented on how one needs to "get to know" the SSV, and I made sure I did just that. I figured out how there was a correlation between temperature and the strength + length of each inhale I did (I hope that makes sense). Sadly, I ended up selling it quite some time ago because I went through a phase where I thought I was compromising my quality of life with the use of cannabis. I guess you could say I became insecure.
When I used the SSV, I used it for both sessions and also the one to two-hitter quitter. The sessions were more due to the fact I was in college ad I lived with roommates who also benefited from the SSV. However, now I really only do one or two hits at night, and that's about it. I'm currently just using my bong or rolling a joint. When I used the SSV, I attached the whip to my bong to hydrate the vapor. I found the "raw vapor" to be awfully harsh.
I know you guys, especially the veterans have seen this question many times, but I guess my question to you folks is what do you think I should purchase? On the plug-ins, it appears from what I've read throughout the day the E-Nano seems to be the winner. Personally, I found myself drawn the VapeXhale. Which leads me to share what I'm looking for with you.
My preferences are the following:
1). Easy to operate
2). Great flavor
3). Reliable
4). Easily attachable to a bong or some form of glass with water in it to hydrate it
5). Temperature control
6). Plug-in Vaporizing
7). "Reasonable" heat-up time
8). Ready to use out of the box and not much assembly, if any at all, required.
9). Looks cool (Silly, but if it's going to sit on my desk or table, it needs to have some aesthetics).
10). My vape will be used more for just me and just a couple of hits maximum a day. However, having the option for more session-like vaping would be a plus.
11.) And actually, pretty important, is more like smoking than huffing What do I mean? What I do not and did not like about the Volcano is I feel like I'm huffing versus smoking. Total turn off for me. I like the smoking experience, without all the harshness.
12). Lastly, I'm flexible with my budget. Well, if money isn't a problem, why ask? Well, I just want to make sure I'm buying what I really want and what I'm actually going to use.
I consulted this forum for my first purchase six years ago, and I'm so glad I did. I normally consult people before I make any sort of purchase in any aspect of my life. I think it's a responsible thing to do to make sure I cover all my bases before purchasing anything. Therefore, thanks for any and all of your feedback to help me make the right decision.
Thanks,
-Lars
