Activated coconut charcoal

I was wondering if any of you use activated coconut charcoal to vape with a glass bubbler ? This goes into a glass adapter between the bowl and the bubbler. Is it useful when vaporizing ? because normally it is made for smokers in order to filter certain harmful particles.

Doesnt activated charcoal take out smells and tastes? I know they use it in water filters and air filters.

Why potentially mess with the taste or smell?
I’ve been using this for two days and it absolutely dos not affect the flavor and no smell, with the right adapter it hardly reduces the airflow and the glass bubbler gets dirty less quickly.
