ABV Threads?

Why are there pointless threads in the ABV section when they could just be deleted?:/

I think there is a weird fine line that has to be followed when it comes to dealing with what people post. I cant/dont remember the reasoning behind it, but I know on another forum I moderate they are really big on NEVER modifying someones post. (We can only go so far as to change the title)
