Hello everbody! I hope everyone is well.
I am open to all the opinions and suggestions that this beautiful group can give.
Im trying to remove the things inside cannabis that is causing me indigestion and heartburn. Im aware of water curing for 7 days with distilled water. Though I feel there is a more shorter and effective method to removing chorophyll and other impurities.
Does it make sense to wash cannabis with hot water beforehand? I saw somewhere on the web(cant find it right now) where someone uses a moka pot(expresso/coffee maker) to run the hot water through the cannabis, to "clean" and decarb at the same time before cooking, they do 3 cycles on low heat.
From my understanding the boiling point of water is less than the vaporization of cannabis. They state that even though the total weight decreases all the goodies stay intact. Has anyone tried something like this or similar? And been successful?
Is boiling water enough to decarb the herb? I was thinking of oven decarb, by the standard temp and time that many use here, 240° for 40 minutes and then running the herb through at least one cycle of hot water, but Im not sure if this is too much and will degrade the potency much. Or should I do it backwards, run through hot water, then oven decarb.
Im also interested in making tinctures, mostly alcohol. The usual alcohols that people recommend is everclear or bacardi 151, but I'd rather use better quality alcohol that does not burn like crazy. Iike a good quality 100 proof tequila(50% alcohol) or any other kind of alcohol. Has anyone tried tinctures with tequila?
Thanks everybody!!
