Is it okay to use 70% isopropyl for extractions or "vape honey". Is it just less effective at getting the gunk off or does it leave residue?

A fan would work wonders too, the only difference between 70% iso and 99% iso is that in the 70% bottle their is 29% more distilled water.

are you trying to clean plastic tubing? don't let it soak too long -- i've read iso removes the plasticizer component of the plastic and makes the tubing stiff/brittle.

Make sure you read the ingredients. It should be only isopropyl alcohol and water. Some of the cheaper rubbing alcohol compounds use ethyl alcohol, bitrex, camphor, diethylphtalate and other things that probably don't evaporate cleanly.
A fan works but also blows a lot of dust into your honey.
Ditto on not soaking plastic.
