3-Vape Set: portable & desk

WHAT WOULD YOUR SET-UP BE?

If money is not an option, and you have to pick 1 vape from each of these 3 categories:
1. Desk-top
2. Heavy-hitting portable
3. Ultra-portable & discreet

These will be the only 3 vapes available to you, for the next 5 years, so choose wisely.

My long-winded reason for asking:
I'm looking to purchase 3 new vapes: a heavy-hitting portable, a desk-top, and an ultra-portable/discreet.

I'm open to options, but always find myself reverting back to flower, over concentrates.
I need vapes suitable for a heavy user with a high tolerance, and am concerned with health (not a fan of plastic, but realize it's somewhat unavoidable. I appreciate the glass pathway of the cloud, and the product quality of Storz&Bickel). I appreciate good flavor and vapor production

My primary objective is a heavy-hitting portable. I will be taking a road trip that will last 2-6 months, and need something portable, which will be as close to a desk top as possible, but with good battery life and portability.
So far, the Mighty seems like a good option, the Ghost MV1 has come up on my radar, and I'm open to any ideas/suggestions.

For a desk-top, I was thinking either Cloud Evo or Volcano, or even a Plenty or Extreme Q...but totally open to ideas. (I realize they have very different delivery systems. I like the cloud, and have sadly never used a bag system before).

Ultra-portable & discreet? I liked the PAX1, but did find it difficult to clean, and it gave out on me - still, I've considered the 3. The Grasshopper looks nice - it sounds like it hits harder, but I'd maybe need to re-pack more often, compared the PAX? The FireFly2 is larger, but sounds like it has minimal maintenance, which is a huge bonus for me. I've read mixed reviews about the IQ's. (A crafty could maybe fit in this category, but perhaps something like a grasshopper would be a better choice, if I already end up getting a mighty). So many choices!!

I appreciate your input :)

For desktop what about one of the logs? I have most of them and while there are a lot of enano fans I think they each have their strengths. The advantage is that they are virtually unbreakable and simple to use. I think they would be fine for a heavy user. (enano, woodscent, HI, underdog).
The flowerpot has a lot of fans here. I don't have it because I don't need another desktop but if I were in the market I would definitely check that out as a desktop.
These are not ultraportable but might be good as dektop alternatives and all work well with heavy users: tubo evic, milaana, mistvapetouch. (I prefer the tubo but they are all good. The tubo software has been getting updated often which is a strength.)
If butane is an option, the vapcap is about as stealthy as it gets. And can be combined with the woodscent.
I don't think any I've mentioned have plastic but I'm not totally sure.

The entire Storz and Bickel lineup was built around this concept. And the dosing capsules make the doses standard across all 4 vapes.

1. Flower Pot
2. Mighty / Battery or Sticky Brick / Butane
3. Grashopper (King of Stealth while useing) or Vapcap (ultra portable, ultra reliable)

Just my :2c: - there are LOTS of options. Personally, i would want one battery and one butane option for a long roadtrip.
Another thing to consider: How important is reliability? Can you return something or contact CS? If not - you need something safe as a backup.

I am not sure how the SV3 fits in your categories, but interesting to look into....

The Grasshopper will fulfill all your needs in one unit. Stronger than most desktops, heavy hitting pure convection, very portable and discreet.
It also has exchangeable batteries and usb charging which is great for road trips.
A vapcap would be a good sidekick. I prefer the ease of use of the grasshopper and convection over conduction(personal preference).
Haven't tried the flowerpot but it looks and sounds solid. If you already have an enail setup you should look into it.

Hi Doktor, thank you for your 2 cents! :)
You make a good point, with 1 battery and 1 butane. I've actually never used a butane unit, but reliability is a factor. I am leaning toward the mighty, but I have read that they have a higher than average defect rate...so I figured that both portables would come with me on the trip. Hopefully nothing will fail, and hopefully the one will hold me over, if the other does fail.
I'll definitely look into the sticky brick & SV3, tho. :)
Thank you!!

The grasshopper is sounding very appealing, and I do prefer convection over conduction.
I've also sadly never used an e-nail, but I've been seeing and reading great things about the flowerpot.
I will look into the vapcap, as well. Thank you! :)

1. Desktop-- if just for flower I'd suggest Herbalizer. Precise temp control. Quickest there is-- 10 second warmup.
Versatile-- whips or bags or glass mouthpiece or hydratube or bubbler. Fan option to turbo-charge all methods so not just to fill bags! With miniVP Flexicone wire baskets, almost never needs cleaning as chamber stays spotless. Plastic shell but quality "Apple-like" build and the internals are pure/clean. Halogen bulb tech

2. Portable- miniVAP if you can handle the slightly bigger size than Mighty's round cylinder profile. So portable as in backpack, purse, car console, etc.
Clean build as only Volcano and miniVAP are cetified clean build. Clean vaping as chamber almost never needs cleaning, just a brush out. "Good flavor?" -I have never sampled a vape with better, truer flavor. Super efficient extraction and perfectly uniform ABV. World's best loading system IMO--Flexicones all the way
It's actually my #1 desktop and portable as it has an AC puck AND a battery AND it's the longest lasting battery of any portable AND you can get extra batteries for eve more run time. 3 seconds to change from AC to battery

Warm up time is more than Mighty, so mV if that's ok.
If MV size and/or warm up time are deal-breakers, then a Mighty.
Proven workhorse. Decent warm up time. Love the dig temp display. Capsules help but they are still well below the Flexicones level for my useage. Not as tastey or efficient as miniVAP. Battery run time well below MV and cannot snap on an extra battery like MV

Mighty is a strong reliable contender for portable.

3. Discreet portable-
one of the DynaVap VapCap small, butane torch powered pieces. Very efficient. IF you are ok with torch for your portable.

If you need battery unit, Pax3 or Haze V3 or their soon out Haze Square???

Thank you!!! :)

What's your favorite concentrate pen?

Like my dude @Morty , W9 KISS cart and Divine Tribe V3 are my favorites. I also have a Flowerpot, a Vapcap, a Divine Tribe Gen 2 dry herb atomizer, etc lol. I like to think I have all the bases covered :D

I would just get a killer desktop and look into box mod based setups for portable flower and concentrates. I wouldn't really buy a portable vape at this point that isn't 510 threaded for a temp controllable box mod. Check out the RBT Splinter and @Alan iHeat 510 on here, as well as @supershredderdan ModPod.

As far as true, discrete stealth vaping goes, nothing beats liquidizing some concentrates with some terpenes and loading a cartridge.

...got away from portables because none can provide me with what a plugin can do IMO...
I agree that portables don't compare...but I have to try to find one that is as close as I can get :)

A WoodScents log and its companion integrated Vapcap covers all the bases beautifully.

Have a look at these beautiful logs

http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/eds-woodscents-log-vape-eds-tnt.22287/page-46#post-1189793

The Vapcap is the vape that stopped me from pursuing all others. It is integrated with the WoodScents log vaporizer. The two vapes work together to create the perfect desktop and portable duo.

Here are some Vapcap features...

Wood options: a plethora of wood covers/midsection are available from both the company, Dynavap and from aftermarket artists such as @phattpiggie, @Winegums and @stardustsailor. These vapes are stunningly beautiful.

The convection heating ratio is higher when using the Titanium tipped Vapcaps. The Vapcap is a hybrid.

The ti tipped Vapcaps have an adjustable bowl. However it is an efficient vape and works wonderfully whether you pack the bowl full or not. Tiny amounts are shockingly efficient. I usually load about .015 gms for a lovely high that also treats my medical symptoms of pain and nausea. This is a versatile vape that can handle microdoses or larger amounts. You will be surprised how high you can get off of much less weed than you are used to. It also handles concentrates extremely well with the addition of a concentrate pad. In addition, it only takes a minute to get high, all in, from load to heat and toke to dumping your ABV.

Highly portable due to its tiny size but attractive enough to proudly display around the home. Since its the size of a cigarette it can be tucked inside a small decorative box along with a small jet lighter and stash for discrete storage while remaining within reach. Or you can store your Vapcap in a Dynastash along with your herb.

All Vapcaps are under $200. These highly efficient beautifully engineered vapes are built to last a lifetime. In fact the top of the line Omnivap is considered indestructible and will still work off grid and can be heated by almost any heat source, be it a jet lighter, bic lighter, a candle (my favorite when soaking in the tub), campfire stick, solar heater, stove element etc. The prices range from the basic stainless steel M model at $50 to around $100 for a ti Woody and up to $175+ for the coveted all titanium with air regulating condenser Omnivap. If you buy a WoidScents log a complete Vapcap comes with it. One purchase and you're done.

The Vapcaps are IMO the most attractive tiny efficient vapes on the market today. Everyone should have at least one.

Winegums

I make things from wood
Accessory Maker
My three choices and the only vapes I own are:
The Herbalizer, Dynavap Ti XL vapcap, and S&B Mighty.

They have all proven to be quite robust and provide excellent vapour.

I love my Herbalizer as it provides such a consistent heat that I can pick and choose what effects I want from the vapour. I use mostly bags with it as it lets me focus on other things while I wait for the bag to fill. It also is my ABV finisher/extractor, since it can hold the herb at the edge of combustion and get practically everything out. The instant heat up is by far the best feature of the vapourizer. You can be vaping in as little as 20 seconds, typically the vape is at temperature before you can load your bowl.

I prefer my Mighty over my vapcap when I'm walking or moving or outside in general. It greatly simplifies the act of vaporizing by being a set and forget device. There can be some difficulty using my vapcaps in windy locations or while walking so I use the mighty. It's a power house of a vape that will deliver hard hit after hit while preserving the flavour until the very end of the bowl.

I love my Vapcaps as a hard hitting portable that are very small and discreet. There's a learning curve for the device as it is a manually controlled vape, but once you've got it down you can make some SERIOUS clouds. Don't underestimate these little devices as they punch wayyy above their price and the cost to run them is next to nothing.

I hope this helps.

Thank you so much for all of this beautifully detailed information.
Between you and the others, I'm convinced :)
I vapcap will have to be added to the collection.
I will start looking through the different types, and the woodscents log. Thank you! :)
