1st Ball vape recommendation

I'm deciding between the screwball and the Ace. Only use is for dry herb.

The hardest hitting thing I use at the moment is a Tornado and the quartz cap. Both do a great job but I'm fascinated by ballvapes.

Thanks in advance.

Lots of good threads on Ball vape comparisons but this is the main one:

If you are only interested in Vapvana vapes, you could definitely find out a lot in the screwball/ace thread

Ah gracias.

I'm not locked into vapvana. They do seem to make a good package for the price/performance.

With the vast amount of ball vape info I haven't read any Tornado and screwball/Ace comparisons. Maybe they are not comparable? Apples to pineapples? Apples to avocados 🥑?

Again not set on Vapvana and open to any suggestions for a good starting point. The tornado on a bubbler is great and I wonder if a ballvape would provide that much of a different experience.

Thanks again.

I don't think there is much useful to compare there. Tornado is an interesting torch vape that employs hybrid heating and the Screwball is a ball vape which is virtually all convection. One is plugged in and one is not. One can be used with direct stems pretty easily, one would be very awkward for that.

They are both vapes for cannabis but after that point the similarities stop, in my opinion. I like both but neither is my top vape.

Thanks so much @Grass Yes.
What is your most reached for right now?
For ball vapes? Probably still the Omega. For torch-driven vapcap-like vapes, the TA has been seeing the most use for me lately. Although I do like my Tornado a lot, it's just a simpler anvil for me. Does what it is supposed to do quite well, but is sort of a one trick pony for me. Great volume of vapor. Never been able to coax out much flavor.

I am also eyeing up getting a ball vape. If flavour is a factor, take at look at the ZX by Phase3. I don't own one (yet) but that has caught my eye and it is only a matter of time. There is also a ZXXL if you are into larger hits.

Good luck in your search, we are blessed with a multitude of options.

So blessed!
I have been eyeing the zx! It's looks so really cool. As a expensive as a screwball and I think the screwball may give more versatility.
The zx looks like very well made and I've yet to see anyone criticize it. I've only seen the troy and Jerry demo... those guys are like Lee. They love everything. I like that.

@Grass Yes what makes the omega so good. I was looking at that as well and the price seems right.

I like that it has a big thermal battery, it's wireless, and modular. I typically prefer diffusers over injectors, but 14mm injectors are pretty damn fun. And I use the Omega as both. Also its 18mm injector module works well as a diffuser over TM WPAs and similar tubes. Generally it works how I like, the ritual is fun and the flavor is easy to dial in. It's well designed and keeps the heat where it is supposed to be. It basically works with any bowl I throw at it, at any depth.

Of the other ball vapes you mentioned, I prefer the ZX to the screwball. I am not a fan of gem cuts in any ball vape. They are typically used to supercharge and overcome other problems in the housing design. As they overlap, it will add a small amount of restriction and hot spotting. This is really apparent with the old Screwball bowls, but the new shallower ones work much better.

The ZX is well designed and is built perfectly for its purpose. I happen to like the SX a little bit more, but reasonable people disagree.
