Pre-ordered the onyx variant as I generally grind medium/fine and was about to buy an aroma 3 so thought I'd take a punt on these as all my other gear is black so it would be cool if this matched my other grinders/herb storage! Looking forward to getting it in hand and taking it for a spin :)...

It's so disappointing the older design of anvil manages 120w but when I try and use the thermocore it maxes at 70w unless you remove the depth stop and put it in at silly depths at first, making it just a ball ache to use compared to how it should be. Had high hopes this would replace my torch...

On release i did think it looked awesome visually, the finish and it being all Ti was quite appealing but seeing peoples use videos since it landed it doesn't seem anything quite as special. I'd like one for my collection, but not until they are selling for a lot less pre-owned! :P

I'd recommend the thermocore Anvil personally. If that's a bit out of budget, I love the Dani Fusion 2.0 too, but It's not quite in the same league as the Anvil for easy of use/one heat extraction. The Stunner is another awesome option, I enjoy playing with it, though i often reach for the Anvil...

If anyone has theirs arrive and can confirm how it handles the thermocore anvil I would be mega interested to hear it! I know the duracore needs an FMJ. If the thermocore does too, then it's a big dealbreaker and I'll wait for the next forge drop.

This is what i always do, just warm it slightly and it slides apart really easily. It does get really stuck in place when it's cold, i've given myself a couple of blisters yanking it apart cold and since then i always give it a quick warm up before cleaning time.
