Ya, been a little tempted to grab the dremel and notch out the wood (liner actually) stem, as done on the metal stem, to get it to sit correctly.

Battery Free Ganz - The Flare Induction heater

I would suggest that the tempest is not deep enough, but when you get it down to the right depth the Flare will probably lower the wattage ... lower wattage, increased time. The carb caps that come with the wand are a fit for the Flare, no more holding the wand on the carb cap in your water...

I assume the reported length issue holds true for mounting this on a tempest stem, anyone tried the fit.

Battery Free Ganz - The Flare Induction heater

Just going by the wattage display output on the flare device itself. For me the flare has only indicated either 60 or 65 watts, which appears to be related to the depth as adjusted at the time of the start up sequence.

Battery Free Ganz - The Flare Induction heater

Best I get with the tempest is 60-65 w, seems dependent on depth of the Mad Heaters insert. The wand is currently the better choice, will be interesting to see if the issue can / will be addressed by Brenyo as per the other thread.

Which 18650 batteries do you trust?

Depends, but IMO - Manufacturer Rated Max Discharge Current: 10A seems to come up short for most use cases.

Dani Fusion 2 is very good withe Flare, results with the Tempest is disappointing of course, but will be interesting to see if things can be addressed. Re: concerns some have voiced regarding the bottom plate. Cut to size, self adhesive neoprene sheet (~3mm), adhered to the plate makes a decent...
