I'm not sure of any mods, but what helps me is thoroughly cleaning the screwed-in filter attached to the mouth piece. Take it out and remove any residue from BOTH sides of it. Now, if it's new and you find it restrictive, perhaps others can chime in.

I strongly considered bringing my vape along on a recent trip to the Midwest. Decided against it but this gives me hope. I lost the cleaning kit that came with it so I may need to order one of those to be sure zero residue is left behind.

Ever since I saw a youtube video on how to roll a joint, and reading a comment about this "vaping" voodoo, my curiosity was instantly piqued. I did further research and found these forums, the rest is history.
