Both of my small stems fit in a battery case and I am able to close it completely. I was there when he cut them for me. I am not sure what sizes he went with for all of you customers.

Nothing but wood on the bottom. The intake is on the top. Opposite of Zions. There is no way to view the heater without destroying the unit and I doubt a warranty would be honored if a unit was disassembled.
