    Discontinued The Firefly Vaporizer

Hi everyone. As a couple of you may have read previously, I am a modifier and yes I'm seeking help for it. Just keep in mind that the screens can only reach the same temperature as the vapor that passes through them. They also cool down to room temperature within a couple of seconds. There's...

I'll take a picture of the arizer basket with the vapir NO2 lid and post it next week once my arizer screens get here. I'm pretty sure this is close to what you are describing as a pod that can be preloaded. I'm tempted to order some of these as well to experiment with. I imagine smaller...

    Discontinued The Firefly Vaporizer

I'm stuck in the Atlanta ice storm and probably won't receive my arizer screens until next week. I'm looking forward to tinkering with the basket technique. I'm sure it will work great for me and seems like it will make cleaning a breeze.

Thanks for measuring that. So since the bowl is beveled, depending on how much herb is placed in there you might end up with up to a 1/8 inch gap around the screen. That would be with an almost full bowl. With a small amount of herb, the screen would sit lower and have less of a gap. With a...

I'm sure a glass honeycomb screen would be ideal especially if you want to avoid stainless steel. I use an inverted vapir NO2 screen and it's perfect for me. It only lets the vapor through and I taste no metal. I'd measure the FF bowl for you, but I don't have my FF with me at the moment. I'm...

    Discontinued The Firefly Vaporizer

I wish I had an answer for that. My sister is a super taster and will only eat a small variety of things. I've always loved just about everything out there including brussel sprouts. From what I've read you will be happy with either device!

It all tastes good to me, :) but I am definitely not a "supertaster" which is a real ability that about 25% of the population have. You can get tested for it, and it is a genetic variant that has pro's and con's just like all of our abilities under different circumstances. I would love to have...

Can you describe your method for pushing the power button? Do you only press once and hold while you draw then let go of the button and continue to draw after the release? Are you using the carb method I read about where you press and let go of the power button a number of times during your draw?

That is a great question. It seems to me that this method is still keeping the FF a convection vape. I say this because you are still just passing heated air through the screen and the herb.

I will definitely let everyone know if the vapir NO2 screen, combined with the arizer screen is a win. I'm sure I can trim the vapir NO2 screen to fit snugly in the arizer screen. I did try the vapir NO2 screen used as a basket with a stock FF screen on top and it worked beautifully. Nice small...

    Discontinued The Firefly Vaporizer

I just remembered that I had a vapir NO2 screen lying around. I just used it as a top screen/dome and it worked beautifully! The vapir NO2 dome acts like a button, easy to put in an take out. Just take a look at it if you haven't seen one before. I will use the vapir NO2 screen pushed into the...

I went ahead and ordered the arizer screens. Thanks for your help! Did you happen to read my post.... Is there a way you could try this technique for me?

    Discontinued The Firefly Vaporizer

I'm ordering the arizer screens now. Since I use just a pinch of finely ground herb at a time I'll either use a top screen or I might try to form a screened dome to go underneath the basket. In other words, the basket will sit on the dome which would then raise it up to the lid and make a seal...

Do you know how much deeper the vaporblunt 2 screen is compared to the arizer? Even though they cost more, this may be the perfect screen to use for me, if it reaches the lid and makes a seal. Can anyone post a pic of the vaporblunt 2 screen sitting in the FF? Also in my opinion, I feel that...

    Discontinued The Firefly Vaporizer

Shiggity I couldn't agree with you more about the Firefly being super easy to use even without modifications. I strongly recommend this vaporizer to everyone! I can't wait to take the stock screen out and pop in a basket style screen. I'm excited about the prospect that a top screen dome might...

    Discontinued The Firefly Vaporizer

I am really enjoying everyone's input towards this device! I posted a thread a couple of pages back about the domed screen technique and my success with it. Looking at the picture that "Volteric" posted using the domed screen technique and getting combustion, the only difference that I can see...

Hi everyone, I just want to say that I love my FF! Also I have a tip for anyone that wants to use a finer grind and less herb in the bowl without eating it. Simply take one of the supplied screens and form a dome. Once you put a small amount of herb in the bowl, place the domed screen over the...
