Short answer - no. I’ve always been able to remove a stuck reducer without much trouble. Then again I don’t use expensive glass. Might avoid the reducer if you are using high end glass. But if you’re in that market for high end glass, just get two rigs :lol: Fwiw - zx uses a 16mm heater coil

For what little it’s worth, I gravitate towards 18mm glass because the 18mm —> 14mm reducer is so unobtrusive and sleek. I never want to use a 14mm —> 18mm adapter. I use the zx on the rare occasions I get to share with friends. I think it’s much better for each person to get their own fresh...

Maybe it’s the way I use it. I don’t like to pack deep bowls with the ZX. I like to fully extract small amounts in about 3 hits, usually ending with a light brown roast. I avoid anything that feels harsh on the throat I don't care too much about temp precision with full convection devices...

ZX makes good contact with the coils even with the zip tie at the top. ZX is relatively long, and still hangs out the bottom of the coil. I didn’t even have to turn up the heat when I went wireless

I personally find the heavy stony sleepy effects are more strain-dependent than device-dependent. Conduction device effects do hit different for me. They tend to hit me hard, all at once, and don’t last as long. But not necessarily sleepier. Idk, it’s complicated and everyone is different...
