Is it possible to use the Air without a battery plugged inside? While it is attached to its power unit, of course.
This would be great, because it would be a way of giving the battery a break, thereby extending its lifetime.
Information for Europeans:
I ordered from vapovape on Ebay and got my black Solo (+free grinder worth ~10 Euros) within a month. The package was transferred via USPS and then handed over to DHL (German postage company). The customs fee was an additional 20 Euros. I also had to get a adapter...
I wasn't quick enough to pull the trigger on the Solo massdrop, which is why I'd like to get it on ebay for $127 instead (big seller who seems to be fairly trusted).
I'm from Europe though, so I need the 230V euro-plug. Does anyone know if there is an European version of the charger for the...
Davinci has opened the second pre-registration and with the long list of bugs and misconceptions which is quoted below (added a few in orange text) I find it very disconcerting that they are already selling the second wave of units.
With all the issues that have popped up over the last few...
Regarding the bottom part of the Ascent getting too hot to hold it: this is pretty bad as well (not just in terms of user friendliness), it also indicates poor insulation of the bowl. Which explains why some people here are experiencing a low battery life or at least lower than advertised. As it...
Following Snake's post: using water tools might just be one of the most neutral indicators for judging vapor production (assuming everyone uses good quality flower, a tight pack and roughly the same water tool).
Because one factor is here that so far nobody seems to have addressed: everybody...
After being really disappointed with how the Ascent release is turning out to be a slow-motion train-wreck, I'm thinking about getting a Solo instead.
Which is the best place (shop, ebay, ..?) to get a Solo over in Europe? It's somewhere between 184-200 Euros on Amazon which is beyond...
For the Solo, Arizer will replace it for $95. That's without shipping/customs/etc (thinking about international folk here). So it's almost cheaper to get a new unit entirely.
Or you can do it yourself (and void the warranty): www.vape-nation.com/arizer-solo-battery-replacement-photo-how-to/...
First off, kudos to the mods for not deleting all the recent posts from actual reviewers with actual production units slamming the Ascent where it needs to be done. I was having my doubts about their neutrality (Sorry, seeing pakalolo right next to Davinci people makes you wonder about this...
This leads to the question whether or not the battery circuit is entirely independent from the rest of the Ascent - in other words: if or when the battery dies, will we still be able to use the Ascent plugged in?
Just another quick note on the batteries.
Regarding the Ascent:
From the Arizer Solo vaporpedia article:
I suppose Davinci will come up with a number close to that. Would be interesting to hear it directly from them though.
Anyway, this seems to be roughly the ongoing costs you can expect...
What are the chances of seeing the Ascent being sold in Europe? Are there any online/offline authorized sellers over here at all? When will you begin shipping to Europe?
This is one of the elephants in the room. Apparently the Ascent was delayed expressly because of this new seal which is supposed to help it produce thicker vapor. So where are the videos of the new improved Ascent? I can't be the only person who wants to see a demonstration before buying it. The...
While everyone is going on about batteries...
Hopefully the Ascent 2.0 will have REMOVABLE batteries. And not just that. The device should work without the batteries entirely while plugged in and there should be a wire (~1ft) which connects the batteries to the vaporizer. This way you could...
Is there any indication given from the packaging/manual as to what type of batteries the Ascent has built in?
Would be great to see something like the following guide as soon as possible for the Ascent:
