That is the main reason I have two hoppers. I also like having two for when I have a guest over. That way we each have our own personal hopper to use.
Hopper Labs has sold at least 40,000 hoppers. That number is from a 2017 article, so the current numbers are probably much higher by now.
@mushlove2u Try clicking your hopper io on and let the auto shutoff turn the device off. Then try recharging. I had a weird instance like that with my Grasshopper once and that fixed it. The clicker is an actual clicker that switches between two positions, it’s not a simple switch. It used to be...
My Hopper io extracts fully at a variety of temps. I find its temp range to be consistent with the advertised increase of 20° C per temperature setting compared to the original Grasshopper. I used to finish my Grasshopper chambers at temps 4-5 and I usually finish my Hopper io chambers at temps...
I appreciate the clarification @VGOODIEZ. Like I said before I would be happy with fresh GHB2s, I was happy with battery life with my Grasshopper and I’m even more happy with the improved battery life of the Hopper io. I just want transparency so I appreciate the update. I’m sorry I jumped to...
Admittedly, as happy as I am with my OG, I still kinda want to get another OG in some exotic wood.
In other news, I was watching the interview with the Modern Cannabists from a few months ago and noticed there is an alternative, non-electric heat source in the works. I’m really excited to learn...
I use my Hopper io both through glass and native at max temp. I use my Grasshopper at max temp also and despite the higher temp limit my Hopper io seems to run cooler. I’m the exception to the rule but it’s definitely possible to use the io native at max temp.
Sorry, to be clear it seems that what you are telling us is the actual facts. I just find it strange that the website says all recent batteries are GHB3 when they aren’t labeled that way. The deception seems to be on HL’s part. I think your involvement is a positive development and I welcome...
So are you saying GHB3s don’t exist yet and are still in production? That’s interesting because it conflicts with what Hopper Labs says:
I’m not concerned about GHB2 vs GHB3 but I am concerned about willful deception. Why tell us these new batteries are GHB3s if those are still In production...
It is standard procedure when dealing with a new manufacturer to do a small test run as proof of production. This is different than the pre-production sample batch which is much smaller, generally only a few pieces, and simply proves they can produce the product. The purpose of a small test run...
I agree with @fogbank, I find the PFE gets hotter than the standard mouthpiece. I think part of that is simply the extra mass, it has more metal overall and more metal means it can absorb more heat over time. The standard frontend also has a cooling component inside which not only cools the...
@zephyrskychord: Concentrate wrapped in organic cotton works well in the Hopper io, better than the Grasshopper because of the higher temps possible with the io. That being said, 510 carts paired with a good battery offer more consistent flavor, better battery life, and less reloading. In my...
Stainless steel is the way to go in my opinion. I’m about to switch up my Crown grinder to the medium plate. The fine plate works well with my convection vaporizers, it gives quicker extraction but more restriction to the draw. I think I prefer the easier more free-flowing draw of the medium...
@letter never sent: I should have said it can hold up to seven grams. I’ve done that with multiple strains that are dense. Fluffy strains are more in the range of 4-6 grams.
The Hopper io frontend is a little cooler than the Grasshopper io, but it is not a huge difference. My lips aren’t that sensitive to heat and I use both devices natively, even at max temp. Recently I was using my io after eating spicy food. It was on temp 3 and it was surprisingly uncomfortable...
@Summer I must have misunderstood you, you initially mentioned awful news. I was simply saying I like being informed of news that can be considered awful, so I like the post and by extension the poster for informing me, regardless of the content of the news.
I will give posts with bad news a like. The like is for sharing the information, it doesn’t mean that I enjoy bad news. Awful news is often the news we need to hear most of all.
Yes, the frontends are interchangeable between the Grasshopper and Hopper io. The new frontend on the io is supposed to have slightly better cooling than the old frontend and my experience so far correlates with that.
