All of the VV/VW mods I've seen have a timeout on the button. Doesn't matter if it's a tiny eGo style or one of the monster 26650's with a DNA30 in it. Only the pure mechanical mods don't have a timeout. (At least I've never seen or heard of a VV/VW without a timeout).

Have you tried cleaning the contacts? (Not the battery contacts, the Cera contacts). If they're dirty, and not making good electrical contact, you'll be experiencing pretty much what you're describing. I'm sure OF can give you good advice on the best way to check and clean the Cera's contacts...
