@redcon: I've been pretty happy with the Aerotank Mini with the VOCC atty's (Vertical Coil, Organic Cotton) @ 1.8Ω.
Never had a flow problem, or dry hits, though there is a bit of a gurgle problem due to condensate running back down the air path in the center. Since the coil is vertical, one...
Assuming you're talking about the 0.8Ω version, the numbers are:
10 watts = 2.82V
12.5 watts = 3.16V
15 watts = 3.46V
Not all VV batteries can drive a 0.8Ω load...
I'm feeling that my intentions are being misunderstood. I don't mean to be at all argumentative about this, I'm just curious. I am delighted with my DevineTribe atty. I don't want for it to "work" better, it works fine and makes me happy. I'm gonna order two more for friends of mine, and will no...
I came to the conclusion that my donut doesn't change resistance by measuring it at different temperatures. I can assure you that mine doesn't change from room temp to whatever it's at after a dozen 5-10 second hits. I measured it both with two different mods (both in watt/volt mode, NOT TC...
I'm using an iStick TC 40W. I tried it for a while in temp control mode, but the flavor wasn't as good as what I get when I just switch it to wattage mode. I don't get burnt taste at all with mine set to 12.5W. My girlfriend just got a different TC mod (she's on the road now, and I don't recall...
Amen to this. It's the only significant change I want to an otherwise superb atty. As I mentioned in an earlier post, they don't seem to be of any use other than providing a leak path for the oil. I've been considering plugging them with something, though I haven't decided on what to use (maybe...
Not sure if it's real (science) or unfounded (FUD), nor if it matters much for us, but a number of e-cig reviews of this RDA express concern because the entire central (positive) section is made of copper. Their fear is that copper plus e-juice plus heat is not a good thing to breathe.
Just a guess on my part. I saw no down side to the deeper one, as you can always put less of a load in it if you want, but you can't put more in the shallow one. I was also thinking about splatter, and figured that an additional 2mm couldn't hurt.
I've started talking about the Devine Tribe...
It has a built-in (18650) battery. Not user replaceable. Some controversy about whether it's really 2600mAh as claimed, or 1800mAh as labeled (Phil Busardo took one of his iStick TC40W's apart and the watt-hours were printed on the battery). I'll check in the next couple of days to see what mine...
My TC40W came yesterday, and I love it (but this is really about your Ceramic Donut Atomizer):
I've been using your Version 2.5 Ceramic Donut Atomizer all week with the 30W non-TC iStick and I think your atomizer is really terrific. I have bunch to say about it, and my experiences so far, but...
Been playing with the just arrived iStick TC40W, but (so far), only in Watt mode, not Temp mode. So far, so good. Everything seems to be working as expected, and it's nice to finally be able to go below 5W on my AeroMini. Same size as my iStick 30W and 20W. Same feel in the hand. MUCH nicer fire...
I made two atty's for my aerotank mini using Ni200. I'll let you know how they work once I try them on the TC iStick. (Also, as my first home made coils in a kanger aero atty, I don't think I'm gonna risk a gram of PureGold on them, until I am comfortable with the TC itself).
Don't know of any...
@Hyphy Welcome to the forum!
You might want to check out the new iStick 40W temperature control battery. Not verified (by me) yet, but it looks like it may go down to 1W no matter what the coil resistance (within limits). I should know in a day or two, as I have one on order.
I mentioned it in...
The problems with the iStick were pretty much constrained to the original 20W version, which had soft metal 510 threads that many seemed to cross thread their atty's into, and the 50W model, which more significantly had auto fire problems. I have an original 20W (still going strong) and a newer...
The chargers I use all require you to wire up your own battery holders and I haven't investigated the more common "all in one" chargers like the Nitecore. If you're willing to wire up your own battery holders, the ones that are suitable range in price from $40 to $100.

Use "10percentoff" to get an additional discount down to about $31.49. Shipping was about $6 as I recall. I ordered it on Feb 2 (Mon) and had it Feb 5 (Thurs), from Hawaii to NYC!.
Capacity is mA times duration. Usually expressed as mAh or Ah...
From your description (and the use of a scope :)), it's pretty obvious that the chip in your Defender is NOT the same as the chip in the iStick 20W. It sounds like the Defender chip is much closer to the iStick 30W's chip, which I'm delighted to hear, as filtered output (DC) is better than PWM...
@fernand: So much to respond to here...
Due to the overwhelming success of the original iStick (20W), there are now a number of very small, very powerful regulated mods. ELeaf has added three more to the iStick line (the 10W mini, the 30W I just received, and a 50W that is shipping to vendors...
