I'll give you my current top three in order of what might suit you. For all the reasons you mention, I became an unhappy Arizer Extreme owner after using it on and off several years. Get an Underdog log vape if you want a low dose, easy to use, inexpensive desktop. No cleaning of vape itself...

Quartz is awesome. I'm mixed on them but I was very much wanting one, so I'll share that Grasscity has them for $40.

I plan to use it as both, I had it made 3 inches so I could use it that way. Yeah I think my Haze will work really nice with water now.

OK I got a beaut from @Ed's TnT on it's way to me. The top one is for my Apricot UD. The bottom two are for my Haze V3

I still do that sometimes by accident. Just make sure the metal tip of the lid is pointing at you not the Haze and that the air hole is lined up with the side hole of the oven. This is an oil monster with great flavor.

I just bought a station but you have to get it right from Vapman. It's 250 PP and I am glad I got one because I like to plug a vape in and not worry about anything. I will of course try it as a butane vape too, but once the station arrives I'll probably use the butane mostly to clean oil residue...

The UD is a great machine.

Just found a Vapman very reasonable and emailed him about a heating station after reading about it here. Looking forward to my first butane vape, but I know the heating station will be a big help if I can't master it alone.

I bet it's the velcro. Try it naked and see if that helps. I don't trust putting that full sleeve on. I wish they made the one they used too that just covered the hot top area.

Really you will get the hang of it, so many variables as far as how long you used your herb, what temp, what quality and strain. It's never exactly the same which is why vaping is fun.
