The HighLighter (Glass-Core Open-Source Halogen Log) Kit Hosted by REFC Labs

The "Wand Tool" is both a dry wand mp and a tool (the clear male blank). You use it as a tool first, to install the front screen, then the ceramic base, and once the build is completed, you put the basket screen in the joint end, to be used as a dry wand mouthpiece. It's fully functional as a...

Far more light comes out of the front than from the glass. That said, the bulb is only running at less than half wattage, and the color temperature in this range is far-red dominant., so you may have trouble illuminating surfaces that are above red-orange-yellow in frequency. (Like green herb)...

    For Sale/Trade [FS][US-NY] E-Elev8R kit - complete, mint [W] PPG&S / will consider trades

Hi all, Putting my personal E-Elev8r up for sale/trade. This kit is complete, mint, and includes everything you'd get new in box. It's a 10/10 no-excuses kit and is squeaky clean. Need to thin the collection a bit. The bowl, trates disc, and pick have never been used, I only used this kit...

I like this idea and will consider it for future kits/builds. This will be hard to integrate with a ceramic base but the idea is there. The o-ring not only serves as the fastener for the ceramic base, but also prevents the ceramic base from clanking around inside the tube. I'll think on it a bit...

    >I didnt meant like you dont have any of my suggestion covered already No offense taken whatsoever, I want to make sure we've objectively covered safety concerns so it is best to make the effort to do so :) No debate needed on the hot spotting you see in the videos. It's primarily due to heat...

No, we run then around 15-20 watts or so, at 6-6.8v. Very economical. @Abysmal Vapor I wanted to touch on these comments - 1) Can be hurtful to the eyes . Can be aided with colored glass, heatshields like the aromed/element desktop by vapman. -This is why we selected black glass - it's easy...

Halogen is said to be one of the cleanest heaters in terms of flavor. Once the unit has been built and run for a bit, they settle in and run without much flavor at all. Thanks for the compliments! We discussed yesterday at length when you asked in the reddit thread but we will recap here for...

The end of the tube. Yes air is pulled in over silicone, stainless, and ceramic. Unless we're altering the glass, this is a sacrifice for the ease of use and a trade off. Custom tubes are not off the table, we are in talks with another glass vendor, so this may become a reality. This is still a...

I have not disclosed the retail price on the heater core kits yet but you can expect them to be under 100USD. Affordability weighed heavily on both design decision-making and replacement parts.

My first ever core, which is installed in my bocote heat shield, has been assembled since the end of December, and runs daily, all day every day with a few exceptions. The blue core in my canary heat shield was my other first test unit. It too, remains FF and unmodified since it was assembled...

The HighLighter (Glass-Core Open-Source Halogen Log) Kit Hosted by REFC Labs

This was chosen for a few reasons - one, we're actively trapping emissivity because of the color, and two, clear glass is fried eyeballs (the bad kind of fried eyeballs). Even at our voltage range (6 to 6.8 or so), it is rather bright. This runs on a standard 12v 5a vvps and draws about 15-20...
