I went back to the skinny stem because i liked the cooling stem adapter, but i just couldn't get over the fact that there was an open window after using it enclosed with the wood slider. I hope that i will be able to get others in the future if mine breaks.

I made a mistake earlier of trying to blow out the last little bits out of the ceramic chamber while it was still hot. I guess the cracks on the bottom allowed the heat to escape and that combination with the metal heating up gave me a little sting. I think it has affected my resistance too...
