I used double sided tape. Velcro would be good. Your method works good. Tape it down and no one will mess with the setting. Indeed, the controller is one reason I made a stand. Only thing I would change now is to have another foot or so of wire. Think I'll go visit the Nano for some AK47.

Stand looks maple-ish to me.
