The cap thing is interesting. On the one hand I'm inclined to agree with @Chainfish that there's an obvious lack of QC. I work in software so have no practical experience, but I guess I thought most manufacturing had some tolerance allowances that would in theory not be this wide open. On the...
@Hagbard Celine I'm not familiar with the heater/stem design of the HI and UD save from what I've seen in pictures. As @GoldenBud mentioned, the WS heater primarily mates with Dynavap tips. However, I'd be a little hesitant to just assume you can rock with any tip--I recently placed a small...
If you're a heavier hitter I can see the small DV bowls not doing it. However, if I load the entire thing Its definitely a session for me. I'll have to count out approx. how many heating cycles I get at each section that still produce vapor. Point is, is that depending on op's tolerance the...
Can’t stress enough how much this was not my experience, but ymmv ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. I don’t have an induction heater and for the moment I see no reason to get one.
Someday curiosity or a desire to have a super premium portable for when I don’t need a rugged portable may motivate me to look at a TM...
I think for whatever it’s worth @Tabris the notion that the DynaVap isn’t as impressive in use as the tinymight depends to some extent on how you want to use it. For sure if you want a portable to use discreetly in public the TM wins (at least against a torch). Out hiking and such in relative...
For what it’s worth while I’m sure things like the Bowle or TM are fantastic and dead simple, I didn’t find the Dynavap learning curve difficult at all. I watched (they have a beginner tips vid as well, but this didn’t look complicated to me and I wanted the control of a single flame so I...
@grogazola
I’ve only been vaping a month or so, so maybe take my opinion with a grain of salt, but I impulse ordered a BB9 to have a glass WPA and something a little cooler when I’m just using the DV for a quick pick me up without heating the woodscents (also it’s just kinda fun to use!). I...
I’m meaning all throughout. The heater sounds awfully loud while it’s activated in that video. I’m just curious if that’s indicative of the tm in general or the user in the video happens to just have an extreme case.
Thats good to hear. So in the interest of objectivity, does the guy in the video I linked just have a one-off loud heater? I think we can all agree that his isn't making a subtle sound. I'm just trying to gauge where it would actually be if I picked one up, as I'd otherwise look into...
I'm not sure if you're able to take a "usage shot" but I'd be curious to hear how loud it is on average. It was high on my list with the Firewood 7 as an "ultra premium" portable, but the thinking was that this would be my, "Oh, I don't need to bust out the dynavap as I'm just going around...
Can any of you with a TinyMight confirm how loud the heater is in use? From it seems to be a lot less discrete than I imagined, but maybe in this case its just rattling in the WPA or something.
@Cannabiker
I can totally see the mindset of the IH being a little less crack-pipey. I'm not saying it would work, but I'm thinking along the same lines as the Bowle (lets not digress into whether it works or not if its alright...maybe FC has been a little more civil, but it seems to have been...
Idle curiosity, why do some of you all think the induction heaters are so fantastic? For full disclosure I've not tried one, but I'm having a hard time imagining it doing much differently than a torch--its still a hybrid conduction/convection heater, it just might be better at getting all parts...
Yeah, I'd love to have something I can use to easily set the Woodscents, various stems, and maybe a WP/a few dynavaps on that keeps them all together and not falling off an end table. One step at a time though =).
Hello there @Aezhenn,
I'm a relatively new member here at FC. I picked up a Woodscents about a month ago and saw your stands @ https://www.vaporisateur.net/accessoires-woodscents/878-stand-en-bois-pour-woodscents-et-accessoires.html. I'm not in the EU but I'm okay with shipping being a bit...
In the photos it looks like they include one. Google brings up replacement wick options from e.g. amazon or little scientific supply shops.
Is this just for funzies/the laboratory look at home?
@Morty
I only have experience with the Woodscents so maybe take this with a grain of salt.
I haven’t weighed my bowls, but I have a scale maybe I should ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. I’ve never gotten a bowl in my dynavap or Woodscents that I can clear in one go, but I like small amounts and I think that would...
Totally. My post maybe came off wrong. I wasn’t saying folks shouldn’t but alternative vapes or meaning to imply that @Scuba Steve Tokes has the wrong definition of “endgame.” It’s all subjective 🙂. Just sharing an alternative perspective.
This is a little outside the scope of the actual thread topic (which I think raises a fair concern), but I'm not sure I'd agree with this.
Bear in mind that I'm relatively new to vaporization so perhaps my perspective is a little different, but a lot of this seems unnecessary. For example...
