I have mixed feelings about that double perc (186) after having a real mobius stereo 60t it was a lot of work filling that tall can and the lower perc didn't seem to do much being submerged... maybe it was just me... but I had to pass that one along in a short time because it didn't really run...
Well, I had to pull the trigger on the 187 while it was still at $46. Nice quick reviews, you guys!! thanks so much for vids and pics! This thread is DANGEROUS! seriously addicted. Luckily there is one gap left in my glass cabinet. Been using the D020-D today.
GAS never ends!!! That looks like a good one there @Stu... can't wait to see the perc in action.
Just tossed this together... a quick perc comparison.
Green background is the 187 and grey is Mobius
Not expecting miracles, obviously the Mobius perc is better, but the 187 looks closer than the...
I've left and come back to several vaporizers now including UPtech gear. it's really about fine tuning your experience, and needs do change, also personal situations can effect choices in the moment. I am not at all concerned about this. As I see it, the vapor market is booming with beta test...
I have noticed the end of my flame can "spray" over towards the edge of the plate if my torch is high, and angle is too far off. These jet lighters are pretty powerful, and can scorch the wood in a very short time if accidental contact is made. Not saying anyone isn't paying attention to where...
my fritted AC also has a small crack in the can, where the frit is placed. It doesn't seem to effect anything, at this point its just a visual flaw. I don't know how long it will hold up, but so far no issues using it as is.
that sux, I was thinking I should have ordered a spare stem along with the D022, but didn't end up doing that. Might be worth dropping them an email asking about what it cost to replace it, or at least get sizes, if they are not shown on the listing.
** I used a bit of water resistant paper folded over itself, wedged in between the larger ground joint and stem, filling a tiny gap between the glass connection which helped the seal and stopped the rocking perc. :D Feels much more stable now. Easy fix, I thought of the video @Vitolo posted...
Got the D022 in today, over all its in pretty nice shape. My main complaint with this one is the removable downstem doesn't sit flush in the ground joint. It moves around slightly and isn't completely airtight. :\ it's not effecting over all performance though, just a minor gripe. I am not...
I use one of these to empty and adjust my lighters http://www.ebay.com/itm/Butane-Screw-Thing-Perfect-for-Purging-Lighters-and-Adjusting-Flame-w-Keychain-/271154146991?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3f220beeaf
My cabinet is getting crowded... and a few could probably use a cleaning. :p No I don't have a problem... I have a collection. :D Might have to move that box out of the way soon...
I still really like my infamous bub, it still gets picked as my travel piece, since it's much smaller than the rest and folds up nicely with the removable mouthpiece, fits right in my pocket with the mp swiveled inward. I actually bought a 2nd one for back up that looks much nicer made than my...
honestly, I like the D020-D better, it has a bit more weight to it, larger base, and wider can, but is roughly the same height as the D020. I think it will pair just as well with the solo. Just my :2c:
