I fill my fc-1000 to 10 as well. It gives good bubbles at the top of the pillars that bursts into the top chamber. I find that there isn't really much take up before everything starts firing but you can notice a little drag.

Can you still use a low profile 18-14 reducer? Or is it too deep to seal properly?

This one is for you @rakka. It might be a touch big for the solo but I don't mind it. It might work best if you prime it. Let the vapor start entering the top chamber then breather out and start pulling again. Should be able to cash the load in one hit that way. Solo on 7.

The fc-1000 doesn't seem to kill the flavour too much which is nice. Emptying is relatively easy. Just pour out of the mouth piece, then what ever is left you can tip out of the joint.
