After trying out borosilicate balls between the two pieces of the cooling unit I’ve moved on to just using the screen portion of the CU in my long stem and loving it. Absolutely cool I enough for me.
The balls made maintenance a pain both in frequency and overall mess. I’d rather get those...
It works a charm for sure. Thanks again. I’ve been vaping full time for almost 4 years now, and have really enjoyed most of my experiences.
But the TM takes me places no other vaporizer does.
@SquirrelMaster thank you for your picture of the glass beads in the long stem with the CU split. Genius.
Hands down the best vapor I’ve ever gotten from a portable and it competes with some desktops I’ve tried or have.
I will be ordering a 2nd in a few weeks.
I feel like I can customize just as easily with IH. I can take advantage of the difference in SS & Ti tips and I have some prototype caps that never made it into mainstream that allow me another layer of customization.
And each IH has its own signature so another layer.
It’s why I love the...
I’ve just removed the nuts and washers from my CU and I like it. I’ve got enough draw resistance, hits great and easily, and I’m sure cleaning will now be easier, as well as less frequent.
Those parts retain a lot of the good stuff, and it’s cooling fine without them.
I tried a basket screen...
I just love the temp stepping now that I’m using it correctly.
But I love this natively. I used a WPA but it loses the magic a bit for me. As is, with the long tube and CU it’s the smoothest vape I’ve ever used.
And I have other devices i love to use with water.
cheers
So I’m pretty fastidious about reading instructions. Usually more than once before I use something.
Somehow I missed the part about waiting for the vibration before inhaling when in on-demand mode. 🤦🏼♂️
And even then I was blown away by how good the vape is.
I’m more blown away now. And I...
My TM is out for delivery. Less than two weeks from order to receipt. Pretty cool.
I have batteries charging now. Can’t wait to give it a try.
EDIT: 11:40 and it arrived. 11:49 and I’m friggin’ wasted.
okay. I get it.
I got rid of my Omni after I got my first Simrell vortex. It’s the bomb both natively and through a water piece. I now have three.
But I’ll offer another alternative; a Phat Piggie stem. The only stem that is better than my Vortex natively is my 120mm Phat Piggie Blackwood stem with aluminum...
I ordered on February 5th and just got shipping notice from DHL. Scheduled for delivery on Tuesday.
I really wasn’t expecting that. I figured mid-March.
it does make me happy.
cheers FCers.
Don't know anything about updates/fixes. I've just seen too many positive reviews, and aside from a handful of problems with slow customer service it seems it's too good to pass up. So the thing that really changed is that I simply gave in to VAS; I've been looking at this vape for over a year...
@TheHerbPuffer Re: Clogged screen affecting performance
I cleaned my glass hand piece yesterday and I was so shocked at the improved performance. And it’s was getting the screen clean that did it.
I noticed a huge uptick in performance and flavor. I’ll be cleaning that way more often from now on.
This @phattpiggie stem has become my most used stem by a lot. It’s perfect for mouthpulls.
And the combination of length and diameter are perfect for my draw speed
My @Pipes Port Side Mini arrived almost a week early. And it’s fabulous. Such a great solid piece of kit. So much better than any of the other portable IH’s I’ve sampled.
I turned 65 last year and I will tell you that the vapcap with an IH is perfect for us old farts. It’s simple, quiet and easy.
I’ve been using my Caldron for 2 years and my Portside Mini is out for delivery today. I’ve sampled some of the other IH’s out there and none hold a candle to the OG...
Got my CannaChristmas present today from @VGOODIEZ
A @phattpiggie Blackwood 120mm stem with aluminum accents and mouthpiece. I’ve got it capped with a stainless steel tip and captive cap gifted to me by @stark1 I’ve been saving them for something new and they are perfect together. Thanks again...
