So the solution to a cap that is stuck is. Sand the tabletop, sandpaper and cap a small amount so that it does not sit on the ring but seals the chamber in the cap.

Yes that was my question. Do you think that too much heat is distributed due to the probably longer heating time? I thought of a 10mm flat coil that would have to be expanded a bit for an anvil so that it fits in. With the 10mm coil you can heat up nicely at certain points.
