thank you for the great write up. I am very pleased that you like the tool. It also works well for popping out the condenser. I never thought of using the fat pin as a tamper...thats a great idea. The fat end also works as a mini CCD flattener. Remember to watch out around strong...

I would say that it is a machining variant When I was designing my IST Inside Tool (for inserting/removing the ccd) The condensors are 5mm... actually around 4.95-8. I first bought some 5mm steel pins for the removal part of the tool. when testing it on my tips, it would not go thru 1 of...

To add to the discussion on 1 piece metal VC 1 hi temp O rings on the OD would help the handability. My woodburning pens, which get red hot at the tip, are aluminum with hi temp O rings on the outside of the shaft. My fingertips are literally 1.5" from red hot. Of course, there is very...

cereal4dinner welcome to the forum. re the ss tip I have noticed that the ss tip has one less o ring than the ti tip. Perhaps that is why its a bit loose I have discovered while making wood stems that the ss tips require a just so slightly smaller bore in the stem to be a tight fit. I...
