Makes sense, but the original Puffit button turned on the heater for a 15 second cycle, else it would lower itself below vape temps. And I believe that was a battery saving technique, which was probably necessary as the run time was very short.

Just as an FYI, I ordered about 3 meters of that ceramic braid to test out.

O-Phos uses Omicron carts which are intended to load .5-1g at a time, while the Dabbler is meant to take a dab (or so) each load.

I was also thinking of using stainless steel mesh as the core, it would probably also do a decent job wicking concentrate. It seems some e-cig attys also use porous ceramic wicks... Shouldnt be too hard to adapt one of those either...

I imagine it should work fine with the appropriate cart. Keep in mind these types of batteries often have auto cut-out on the battery (10-15 seconds) so you may have to pulse the battery button. I still think a dedicated battery mod/concentrate solution is best, but I've been known to go back...
