You're right, it wasted your concentrates and doesn't give like any vapor, good riddance, cotton is the better choice, the cup really reduced heat transfer.

What cotton are you using, I have rayon, hemp wick from sticks, and organic cotton all of which get darker over time but I am running hotter than you. How often do you replace your cotton wads? Do you have other devices designed for oils for comparison. How many hits do you get from a pinhead...

It's not that great when you want high temps, cotton and hemp create their own vapor and darken at those temps. I think they are also pretty harsh in comparison to ceramic.
