Yeah, it's a little pricey. But its more so art than a smoking accessory. I actually paid $280 for the dome. Just got in this guy yesterday from the same artist. It's officially the last piece of glass I'll ever spend money on.
No! I had the same thoughts when I first saw this posted on BoroMarket. When the blower works the mouthpiece, it's connected to a glass rod in order to maneuver it; that's just where he happened to cut it apart, it's smooth... just a little uneven lol.
This is a really crazy looking piece; it looks completely different in light/dark settings; as you can tell by the pictures. It's really a phenomenal piece of art. Functionality wise, it "gurgles" water through the natural bell perc at the bottom of the rig, then splashes up to the diffuser...
I'm moving into a new place; and the funds are a little low at the moment. This is a REALLY tough piece to track down, so I'm definitely not going to rush into a sale... but at the moment: Sectional Sofa > Dizzle. It's in perfect condition as you can see by the photos.
I'm asking $500; which...
Yeah, I was dabbed out going on a rant lol; but i stand by my statement on the $500+ glass. It's all a matter of what you see. You may look at this piece and see a waste of $1,000; but I am more interested in the fact that it's a piece of art. I grow somewhat attached to my artistic pieces. It's...
You my friend, don't have the glass bug... you wouldn't even begin to START to understand. I'm transitioning into glass reviews at the moment; have been in contact with TONS of awesome american artists... once you see the dedication these people put into their work, you'll change your mind...
I can get you a double honeycomb made by an american blower for $110 I believe; same guy that just custom made me a black/white wigwag'd mini tube set. His name is Gary Vick on Facebook. Add him as a friend and tell him I sent you; he'll def help you out...
I don't think it's going to be much different to be honest. I can't say really, because I haven't seen the final units... but I haven't had any problems with mine to make me think an "upgraded unit" was even necessary. I think my seal around the bottom chamber is just fine...
If you want an honest opinion of someone that would consider themselves a fairly knowledgeable person in terms of the glass industry.... Those water pipes all completely suck. They're all imported crap that are made in factories with very low quality control. Those same pieces are the one's...
So the two samples of oils that Da Vinci sent me; one being "Energy" the other being "Relax" both work really nicely. I filled the glass jars half way (WAY too much) and was able to puff constantly for 15-20 min. I can't really go into much detail on how they felt, as I hadn't cleaned my Ascent...
I'd do $150 on my 9mm Armor Glassworks Bent/neck bubbler if you pay shipping. Comes with matching armor bowl; over half off what I paid 2 years ago. I think it's still up in the classifieds listings.
I wouldn't say Pax killer. The Pax IMO does a better job at lower temp settings, where the Ascent shines when it's on higher temps. The Pax tastes like ass on the red setting, and I can go all the way up to 420F and still tolerate the vapor with the Ascent.
The Pax is smaller and more...
