That's the next evolution lol j/k
OK this is what I wanted to know, so dipping the core and slide into water up to the glass retention disc is fine?
I'm going to try for a deep clean of the heater this weekend and I've watched Bud's tutorial but had a question.
At one point in the video it shows the coil/glass rod core submerged up to the glass retention disc in ISO. I typically like to rinse my pieces with water before using them when...
I think it would hinder it as they will absorb heat from the air instead of from the coil like the other beads inside the device. If you try it out let us know how it goes.
:science:
@Hippie aye, I bought a case at the same time. Safety first. :freak:
@MileHighHuman congrats on receiving your model! Just play around with it and it will all make sense after a few sessions as to what works for you.
Also, I ran this past Bud directly on VLF and he okayed everything as within normal operations. To more or less quote the creator if it doesn't glow red or taste weird it's good to go.
I'm hopefully back on the preorder list for another one, if it takes a year I don't care it's worth the wait...
@LabPong must be my rig in combination with the ELEV8R water pipe adapter. Honestly it works and with all the batteries I own I have 5 sessions (usually) on tap so it's been fine.
I should use the G43 as intended to see what it's like native but the simplicity and ease of cleaning of the ELEV8R...
I'm not finding the preheat time to be a major deal breaker for me but I always build up and break down my rig for every session so it's been easy to get the timing down so I'm not really waiting for the unit to get hot.
I'm currently getting one session out of the IMR battery that Bud...
@MileHighHuman I went MOD for the control and I'm glad I did since I've needed to run my unit hotter then most. But I've only heard good things about both. :2c:
So Bud got back to me on VLF and confirmed everything is normal with my unit. Using it through the ELEV8R just requires more juice then without it. I have a couple of Samsung 30Q batteries coming in so hopefully rotating the batteries and charging them slower should help prolong them.
This vape...
@LabPong here is the pic of the heater/wire
I'm not familiar with mods but when I turn on the mod cold it's at zero I believe, do you want to know what it is when I first fire it up?
EDIT: when hooked up to the heater cold it displays...
@LabPong I messaged Bud last night on VLF thinking that is the best way to reach him. I can only imagine how busy he is so I'm in no rush.
Currently 16w with a 6 min preheat is the sweet spot for myself. I have noticed that one of the heater wires is more exposed (outside of the glass beads)...
@LabPong ahhh, that makes sense especially regarding battery life. When I finish one session it usually displays ~30% charge remaining so I'm way off your numbers.
@Cl4ud3 I sent Bud a message last night through Vape Life forum, is there a better way to reach him?
@Baron23 and @BestBuds, hmm... definitely not that hot, I'll have to contact Bud and see what he thinks. I don't mind as works for me on the higher wattages.
So last night I did 14w with a 7+ min preheat and while I did enjoy the experience I found the G43 didn't stay hot enough for me to vape the entire bowl in one shot before the battery was too low.
Later on I did 16.5w at 5 min and it was much better overall but a little too hot in the...
@Terpenetime aye yes, I was upping the wattage to compensate for the distance that using the ELEV8R introduces. I'll try a longer preheat tonight at 14w and see what happens.
:science:
Yeah it was hot lol. I've been down around 17w with the last session and will probably keep searching for the right wattage, experimenting with the unit has been fun so far.
I did a preheat at 25w for 5 minutes to see how the vape would be, the core was glowing orange so I'm pretty sure I would have combusted if I used it at that point IMHO.
