My Ultra is in my left hand rocking a Pro Tank 2 as I type this. Honestly the durability and ability to change batteries are why it's part of my daily carry since I got it. Id have to lose it to make it non-functional realistically.
You can "dome" a screen to really reduce the amount of bowl space. I managed to get a few screens to sit in such a way that I now have about 1/3 - 1/4 the original bowl space on my straight stem. Basically I put a larger screen in so that when it sat flat inside the extra screen went up around...
I don't think they'll allow you to "upgrade" through a warranty. Not 100% on that though.
Ed's stems come with a little pipe cleaner piece. That's all I've used to clean my wooden stem.
Keep in mind that the silicone o-rings we're using here are high temperature resistant... I would assume (hope) that pot holders are also high temp silicone as well.
My hands must be a bit heat sensitive or it might just be my Solo, but I usually finish my stems at 6 through water and the bowl gets real warm. I don't really feel like waiting for it to cool down sometimes to pack a second stem. I had a nice crescent burn mark on my finger from trying that...
Sorry, "acrylic" is a generic term in that sense. I should have been more specific. I've seen the "cheap grommet acrylic" bongs turn white, of course my friend didn't believe me and had to see for himself.
Steele's "acrylic" is probably ISO resistant, I don't know since I don't have one. Most...
If you load the oil from the outside (outside the inner tube anyways) and it feeds in through those tiny holes it's probably terrible. Nothing like ejuice. If you somehow add the dab on the coil through the top then I guess it would work kinda?
Just looked up RO (reverse osmosis) and I dunno. Guess it's just preference? I saw distiller water for under a dollar for 2.5 gal, it seemed like a reasonable purchase at the time. Not even halfway through and I change water in my glass daily and sometimes more often. Talk about first world...
Pretty sure someone on the forum took a dremel to the end of theirs and flattened it out (Ed's has notches right?), essentially making it a stock flat bottom wooden stem.
Distilled water is pretty cheap if you buy it or make it. I use it now, love my small pieces that need little water for that reason. Yeah, the water is kinda shitty around here... at least the view is nice? :D
Better in terms if being able to clean it more thoroughly. You can soap and water an acrylic for only so long before it starts to age from use. I always use isopropyl alcohol to clean my glass before a final hot water rinse because I like knowing the stuff is clean. Minimizing risks, etc...
The Jet is probably good for smoking, too much filtration/percolation for vaping for most people (as most people that vaporize really like the taste, as opposed to smokers wanting a 'smoother' [more filtered] hit).
Honestly though a small glass tube can be had for as little as $10 at my local...
Heads up for anyone waiting on a PVHES, PV has most of the stuff back in stock. Just swooped on the 18mm GonG ;) (of course I mean I already bought it and came to tell you all after )
Might be a bit easier to compare sizes with dry pieces and such... Anyways, the chipped slits are what the price buys you... Just something I've noticed from browsing a lot of shops. Decent money will get polished cuts and such.
How do you like Boba? I thought it was really hyped up :/
Had a dark chocolate hubby bar and a fat eighth of some "purple dragon" trichy purple weed... Minus a few solo stems of course :)
