Yeah should be just fine, the heater doesn't care what it's heating.. :p That said it's probably best if you keep the Dog horizontal(ish) so nothing 'runny' oozes down into the core in these kinds of scenarios. :cool:

Correct the tattoo VVPS won't work with the Econo-Dogs since the voltage isn't in the same range. The best way to dim the Econo-Dogs is with the extension cord(s) method. You could try the dimmer box and see if it works, worse case scenario it burns out the power supply. I've come across a few...
