I didn't think it would work very well, and probably not be structurally stable since I wouldn't be able to heat both sides like I'd want to. I ended up taking my torch to the jagged stem, and polished the entire crack. Now I just need to find one of those ecig tips to put over it and I'm back...
Yeah, he came over to my place actually. I've been doing okay nausea and pain-wise these last few days thankfully but I woke up this morning to a pounding heart. You know the feeling. Cold sweat breaking on your forehead, your face is flushing, lips numb and you get that sudden salivation...
Kinda, my straight stem makes a tighter seal than my bent stem, but not enough to require two power levels. It's just that the bent has less resistance and the straight has more resistance, for me anyways.
This is fantastic and something I'm so glad people can do with this unit. You're not the first person to mention this, actually. Might be second, or third, but it's great to hear the temps are so accurate that you can remove the "undesirable" parts of a strain and be left with a different...
Pink water what? RezBlock and related water additions? Stopped using it in all but my tube (beaker to showerhead). I go back and forth with using it and not... better to have it and not use it than need it and not have it ;)
Some sort of infection maybe? Running a fever after surgery is really weird Apparently it's not as weird as I thought. I've had multiple and always had normal temp, except that one time I got some strong antibiotics IV'd, wasn't doing too well then but I turned out okay. Hope you're hanging in...
Are you sure it's charred? Sometimes material makes its way down there and the battery pushing against it makes it look dirty. Looks kinda like how the edges of a grinder get when the material gets caught in there and rubbed from friction. Pics would be helpful.
You!! I got my slim PS2 psu to work with my Solo! Thanks for the idea, I finally got around to charging my Solo last night as it was showing 2 LED's and I wasn't sure how much I would need it "out of the cave." I almost forgot it was a portable :smug:
Nothing new to report re: Solo, been...
It's always a good idea to give battery-powered devices a full charge before using. Helps with battery life a lot if you give it a full charge instead of just going to town on it.
I think it has more to do with the metal bowl thickness than it does with what kind of wood it is. Metal conducts heat (warms up) much better than wood.
UFO means holes in a circle, like this:

The shape looks like a UFO ;)
More bubbles + bubbles staying intact longer = vapor touching water longer. Something with hardly any diffusion will be harsher than something going through a stack of bubbles.
Replace as you want, I've been using my extra fine screen since I got my Solo and it's still doing fine. I bought 10 1/2 inch screens and ended up losing more than I threw away, and I still don't need extra screens as I have some laying around.
Ash collector/ash catcher is a piece of glass...
