Thats the pushback ring inside where the positive batt touches. its supposed to do that. you can take it out but then run the risk of leaving the batt in and combusting accidentally. you shouldn't have to put a ton of pressure on the batt. and there is no "click" silent as night

try just a foot long tube off the stock stem. it hits killer. I get a much better draw when using the tubing over just sticking the stem in the bong attached to the zap. Just spent the day in the cold ass woods deer hunting and I kept my battery case and LB in my insulated hand muff next to the handwarmers so the box and batts were at room temp or slightly higher all morning. Anyone else notice how much better the LB (when not freezing) hits when its cold...
