I noticed the smell as well, and followed a recommendation I read here about airing the gaskets out overnight for a few nights. I think I did that for 3 nights and I can't detect a smell coming off of the gaskets anymore.

MFLB is also conduction vaporization, though. It does help conserve material though since you can get away with vaping even tiny flecks up to full-sized trenches.
