Sorry, I thought you were trying to figure how to make a GonG connection. I see now. Fwiw, when I made a similar bong using the Q tubing as the downstem, I put holes near the end like conventional downstems have, to provide diffusion.
Re the bag, while you may not get what your 'cano...
If you reduce from 18mm to 14mm you will add drag. The Q's glass elbow fits into a downstem that has a female GonG joint on top. On my bong there is a female joint formed onto the tube, into that fits the downstem with a male joint plus it has a female joint on top into which a slide goes, or...
If you were an IGG contributor, wrist bands should have been included. I'd suggest a Support Ticket to obtain them, and a replacement ELB.
There is a small raised spot at the left-side seam in line with the middle screw; it is intended to guide your hand to stay below it away from the high...
Thx, @DDave. :)
I came across this adapter. It's more expensive, but the buyer can query the blower directly and the quality is top notch.

As @DDave posted, you want a 18/19mm GonG joint. It should be...
No, I'm not. It was brought over by a friend. He was given a brick of the stuff by a grower pal. He called it wax, but then again I didn't ask for a tutorial. When I say powder I mean it was broken down into very fine particles.
Clearly I'm over my head on this one. :myday:
I'm curious if you've tried the "mini-ELB" 2-cap method? I've used it with wax on the EVO a couple of times and it was excellent. The wax just eventually broke down to dark powder.
Check out that sidecar HT! . . .
First, you should contact dopefiend, your authorized VXL representative. Depending on what your hear there, you then may need to submit a ticket at VXL's website explaining all the details. But first, be sure to check with dopefiend.
Cable: Ref @Hexi's post above. Be careful that your setup doesn't permit the cable to easily move the very lightweight EVO.
Fill: Doing 1/3 to 1/2 with cap in. Can do more but only adds drag and is less efficient, so I'd rather use two lightly filled than one full.
OG vis-a-vis EVO (I have...
You can use a different cord like those for a computer, vacuum cleaner, etc. I've tried several Type SVT cords and they all worked much better. If you want to make your own, it's 18AWG/3, C13 female, 5-15P male. (SM said the concern will be addressed in the future.)
If by bowl you mean the Cyclone, you definitely would not pack it and the elbow together. (And btw, you don't want to "pack" the Cyclone; the herb should be ground fluffy and be loose so that it gets good air circulation). Way too much drag; with the whip you'd have to pull hard and with the...
Wow, that's actually a lot of ground to cover. Complete answers would take a lot of posts; after all, this is a long thread and a substantial amount of the content is discussion of your topics. Furthermore, most now following the thread are also relatively new to the Q, most of the in-depth...
I thought probably so. It appears that, at least so far, by-and-large the batches with new firmware are running with a fairly consistent heat range/dial position. I'm getting a solid dark brown ABV. I've put that ABV in my OG which runs very hot, set it at a blistering 3 (usual vaping is...
My Ion creates a very high pitched whistle. Fortunately my preferred draw strength is just under that, so I can comfortably avoid it. Good thing, too - the other day the wife stormed in holding our dog, covering her ears (the dog's). Does this mean I can sue VXL for animal abuse?
Dr. P, what dial setting are you using?
t-dub, I'm willing to bet that this pic has been posted more than any other on these boards. You are definitely the vape tool go-to guy. :D
EDIT: I use the "smidge" size spoon from this set (also useful in the kitchen)...
We are saying much the same thing. Changes to the airflow change its turbulence, to which VXL attributes the sound. Two EVO's with exactly the same diameter bamboo should have the same whistle. Ordinarily there is one high-pitch whistle but the pitch and loudness can change with airflow...
It may seem that international are not a priority, but that is simply not correct. Perhaps you missed the updates on IGG and here, where you would have learned that the international version requires different electronics, that availability of the PCB's was delayed by having to replace some...
