IME if it clumps in your container that's because your stuff is dank. I can usually give it a shake to loosen enough up for a few stem loads in my Solo. If I'm at home I'll use a small spoon.

The loose stem thing is because of the built-in ring wearing out. The actual insert where the stem goes into is stainless steel and likely won't change shape unless it gets really damaged. The o-rings some of us put in there are to prevent the stems from falling right out or the bent stem from...

Anywhere from 3 to 20? Like @DDave said it's dependent on a lot of things, the dankocity of your material, how much you added, how many hits at what power level, etc. I can nurse a full stem for a few sessions starting at 2 and moving up to 7 (with water past 5), or I can lay it down in a half...

My (old) Solo allows me to place the o-ring and close the top cap all the way; unfortunately some weeks ago I noticed that the top left screw in the screw plate has cracked the corner :( ninja edit: if you want to screw the cap all the way down place the o-ring on some tape and run it over...
