I use two screens, a "regular" screen goes in first, and then my really fine mesh screen goes on top. The finer screens will reduce it by a bit for sure, that's why I use my super fine screens.

Umm... you need to account for a lot more than just "average X is Y" because in real use, when the heater is cooled from the draw, the battery has to compensate for that. Heating from cold uses more battery than heating from when you turned it off 30 seconds ago. Battery warranties are a fickle...

You sure? I've noticed with my older Solo that once it gets up to temp, it will consistently trigger the light again after about 7 seconds. I think maybe it has to do with the glass still heat-saturating? Try it out, I just did a packed stem straight to 7 and it took 7 seconds to re-heat.
