Just make sure to use organic cotton with nothing added to it (no moisturizers etc) and you're fine. I soak my cottons in an alcohol/hash oil mix and let them saturate then wait for the alcohol to vaporize before I throw it into my Solo at max temperature and I don't get any combustion.

Yeah heat, dry dabs are harsher for some people.

If it's the buildup on the "wings" of the trench it's normal, what's happening is those wings don't get heated up (only the trench part) and as the vapor swirls around inside it condenses on there a tiny bit, enough that tiny little particles of your stuff get caught on them as you draw/shake...

It's all good, the game's a bit different in medical states where you can really just drive down to the "weed store" and have 20+ strains and a variety of oils and edibles available. I use the reclaim, pretty sedating and good for sleep despite the weird taste. Need to get a straight stem soon...

Did you grind the hash up? I have one of those metal card grinders with the cheese grates on it that works well for drier hashes, not so much the gooier bubbles... but the hash it can grind it does so well. I find that with more surface area the hash vaporizes better. It can be a little tricky...

If it doesn't melt straight down you need to draw slowly on it. Stuff like CO2 oil pretty much seeps down into the ceramic and down to the heating element/reservoir ceramic with the slightest heat. Some concentrates don't like heating up and saturating without a lot more heat, in my experience...
