One party properly licensed the design from the inventor. The other was more or less daring the inventor to defend his rights in Viet Nam.
Not taking a side bc all sides of a hot potato are hot.
@Shit Snacks had a good hack for the Uni Pro. Double clicking the fire button triggers a 10-sec 1.8V preheat. It’s the only way I use mine.
(Careful in windy spots if you don’t go the full 10 secs— the pressure drop will draw vapor if you don’t plug the mouthpiece.)
I like j-hooks fine— they’re as close as I’ll get to proper glass until the brood flies the coop.
That said, I’ve come to realize that the aesthetics of experience are important to me. A well-laid table won’t make the food taste better but might encourage appetite. Maybe even manners.

I find these threads a lot less obnoxious that the questions in device threads where the answer is literally two posts above. Chances are most FCers are honeymooning new vapes by the time the question comes up again anyway.
Vapewise, I'm with @passenger. The Toad wins the reach test for my use...
Inspired me to fire up my neglected pear Classic for a quiet Saturday afternoon in with a book and some jazz. Haven’t vaped good hash in a while.
It really is an elegant experience. Have so far spent my time admiring the clarity of the sky and listening to the birds chirping against a light hum...
Sacrilege! Next you’ll be saying that you only need one vape to get high.
You come to a vapor enthusiast’s forum and complain there’s too much hot gas? 😉
Have to say, as you rotated the unit in the video and showed off that lovely grain, I was like, “Let it be book-matched… let it be book-matched…”
And it was! 😍
Also, particulate size matters— various workplace safety studies I’ve looked at draw a distinction between inhalable dust and respirable dust.
Inhaled metal dust doesn’t automagically enter your bloodstream. The particles need to be small enough to be processed by the alveoli.
BCGs are sharp...
Would add that vaping has helped me dial in just the right level of “uplift” from my sessions.
It delivers the relaxed but clear headed elevation I could never consistently achieve with combustion (CO poisoning, maybe?). 3-4 draws on the Toad is all I need to unwind and let go of the day...
All these pics with lovely wood stems are making me rethink my all-glass inventory. Plus I’m thinking I might want to try my Toad on a hook. 👍
I’ve never owned an unlined wood stem before. Does reclaim fully seal off the natural wood flavor as it seasons?
Love the bright flavors with glass...
