Those official shields looks great!
Now i realize the walnut one wasn’t uploaded and the imgur link was public
Well, the inner diameters and the standard tube form were made by a woodworker, but fast, i had (and will have) to correct them

Ok I was working a bit more on the mahogany shield, tried to do an experiment with a beech one and polish and adjust an american walnut one to do something similar to the mahogany one (i will do the same with the pequia one):

(Does anyone knows how to make imgur shows the images? I cant...
I think the upgrade price is good enough.
Consider that the tempest is not a product that you disch as soon as a new one comes out. Even if you have released a new version, you can still use the v1, only that it gives the option to upgrade (something im not used to see).
Also, the release of...
the exact price of the normal components used would be like +6£ more than the upgrade kit. Consider it as a easier way to get all upgrade components (without the need of asking what you have to buy) with a little discount
For those who wonder how a straight wood shield would looks like:

(I had to upload it to reddit since i have problems with imgur)
The first is made of pequia wood, and the second is made of mahogany wood. Both are simple without carbhole (i...
I have 2 spirals. The normal one and a short one: but maybe it is just a test to try it. Anyway; the normal one makes a good job and the retention is minimal. The short one is way more harsh
Depends on what kind of config you like for mtl. I like the 2,5 balls because the more restrictive airflow. And glass balls or SiC balls because the punchier performance (if they are punchier, then you dont need long puffs and it is better for mtl)
@sherry_sherry I was going to tell you the same jaanky said: a bit of sanding could fix it, and fortunately.
@Caliban hello! Do you use the wand batteries? Or a different ones? Consider there is little differences between wands. Maybe you need a lower height setting. I notice there is a...
The screw of the chamber and the load of the chamber has nothing to do with the ball screen. The most, loading the material up to touch the ball screen, would make the top of the material to get roasted/burned. And never overfill the ball container.
How do you set the ball screen? Do you twist...
Time since i shared a video. I dont use the tempest with full bowl usually, nor use the bong never. But everything for the show
Wand at 290C, 2,5mm SiC balls, full chamber:
I should share a triple flame video too
The tempest 2 has a completely different stem. It is not the revolve. You can regulate the carbhole, the tip intake air, and the amount of cooling depending in what spiral you use.
The flare works better with the original cap. With this one, it works at 60W…
But! This one works better with induction since you dont need for the silver to distribute the heat along the cap after heating it. It also takes 5-10 seconds less to be ready (at least from my experience).
@Nobo i know a guy with the same experience ordering the hyper9 from simrell. The customs (spain) said it is a smoking device so it is not allowed (but actually they are…) so it returned back. But he had no problem in other simrell orders
