Every heard of the 'red seat' ? :uhoh: Either to designate a sick person's tube or keep your own tube seperate. These are easy to make if you have access to a 1/2" chuck and a file. Spin the tube and use the right angle edge of the file to cut a groove or two. :science:
Thanks Tac. It's a pleasure to share info and a privilege to have a place to do it. Thanks again.
Vtac says,"When I first heard about the plywood bottoms a few months back I thought "wow, that's the first cost cutting measure for the PD". Nice to hear the whole story, so many incremental...
My first computer, a Sinclair. Basic language and a tape storage (cassette).
I've used Macs.
Currently running PCs. One Vista (Vista Sucks) and the others are XP. Like TDavie, I have hardware that only works with XP, a Keyboard/Synth workstation. Also a long time Flight Simulator user, so...
Be careful using Buzz-Butter :buzz: before you do the final assembly. :2c: Getting the oils and waxes on the bottom (end grain) will prevent the glue from holding properly and your leather may not stick.
Bottom plywood vs. Hardwood... As Minnesnowta says you need a chop saw to cut it flush, one...
Vapor temps are dependent on lots of factors. All other factors asside... In this style vape the wood density has an effect on R-Value (insulation). Better insulation = more retained heat and higher temps. Dense woods will transmit more heat and run a little cooler.
Welcome to the Forum Ob. Soldering is something I try to cover in detail. Not in everybody's skill set, but it is quite easy with a little basic instruction.
Alder is about the same density as Cherry. Walnut a little harder than those two, but nearly the same density. The Ash is both harder and...
I use that gold pan in the shop almost everyday, to wash metal items, and have used it to pan for gold too. Had an old timer in Idaho teach me a thing or two about where to look and what to look for. Yep I figured it was an odd shape that not everyone would have around the house. Made for quite...
Weekends are pretty cool on our PBS station.
I really enjoy Marian McPartland's Piano Jazz. I try not to miss this one. Born in 1918 and entertained WW2 troops in Europe, 92 years old and she can still play a helluva tune. Her guests are always great. She is a sharp interviewer too. Knows...
Always trying to improve... ;)
Been listening to a couple of tracks of the new Hendrix on IJPR.org ... Jefferson Public Radio. The State Of Jefferson, out here on the 'Lost Coast' . Check out their shows on your own, we get the Rythm and News repeater and the Classical repeater on our FM band...
Here it is. The official numbers list.
Thanks to all who sent us a card.
We will enjoy them on the walls of the shop throughout the year.
How about these odds for a contest 1:39 ???

Lots of folks got honorable mentions and some prizes are still to...
My very first post on this forum was about being pulled over by an Oregon State Trooper. It had to do with the odor of vapor, and of course the unit was unplugged during the pull over and thrown on the floor. We had just finished some stuff, if it was smoke we would have been busted for sure. I...
Like I say there is more Alder on the way. So no worry for anyone looking at Alder or the other woods. Just didn't get much yield out of the last stick and needed to get more. Still looking at a 2-4 week time frame from order to shipping for all orders.
I think that temporarily wipes out the Alder. More on the way. Yesterday morning I talked to Ron in Idaho, our supplier of high grade, Kiln Dried, renewable North American hardwoods.
Our laser man Todd, here in Port Orford, has a bunch of Cherry and Walnut that he is working on. They...
Thanks Plant, that's a great explanation. :)
From this end, we provide tracking to the local system, then it goes to the 'local' system for tracking.
I know this was a freak thing, but Brazil took 88 days (once).
ps. you guys crack me up. Glad to make a fun thing, exited to ship...
Yes, Customs and Duties vary all over the world. The buyer is expected to know the cost of these for his country. We can't know or predict it for every country. Thanks for the explanation of (most) EU charges.
Time lag in Customs seems to be an issue too. Seems the USPS tracking says delivered...
Wow I have something like you are speaking of to cover the un-used 2.1mm plugs on my daisy chain power supply. Too small but I get the idea. It would need to bee a flat bottomed hole and suction from removal might interfere with a form fitting cup design. Maybe a cig case style of the proper...
Tomorrow marks 12 weeks. Since folks aren't required to check in, and even when they do they might miss a small post like this (before it was stickyed), I thought this was about the best balance between too long and too short. Last time we ran a quicky and very few entered. This time we had a...
If you haven't ordered yours yet, get the young ones, you can fit more of them in a box. :uhoh:
Yep, the hand made part, by one guy, with pride in his work. It shows. Keep it up.
