I've been running my SS Solo at level 7 for at least 30 cycles, just letting it cook off, and the smell has markedly declined.

IMHO and respectful opinion, you can get alot more innovative, interesting designs for less from other outfits, such as Mobius, the Wilsons, Toro, etc.. Don't look at it as having 400 to blow, look at it as having 180 left over after buying a ridiculously nice piece that you researched thoroughly.
