EDIT:
Balls, I screwed up, this post starts with a quote from Dan:
I am attracted to the higher temps possible with a flame. I don't think a halogen bulb could provide enough heat for a vortex style chamber... not in a portable unit, anyhow.
I've been making some paper models to see which...
Good question @Kalessin .
My guess would be that the newer, longer Ti tips which you may have are equipped with 3 grooves for O-rings, and a fourth O-ring that provides insulation between the tip and body.
I am guessing though as mine isn't with me yet (on it's way though!).
I think you do
I also think that you're right re' passing the air directly over the bulb before passing it between the two glass tubes containing the louvred metal tube.
I imagine that designs like the Ville's Apollo depend (successfully) upon the hot glass of the bulb contributing...
Put your heater in the center so no heat can be wasted to the outside without contributing to heating the air passing through your exchanger.
In order to bypass the need to exchange heat which has been trapped inside a silvered or metal coated bulb, or other heating element and the subsequent...
Halogen needn't involve complicated circutry.
It can be driven by a wide range of voltages/wattages.
It avoids the need for an expensive to develop and manufacture custom heat source.
It provides light as well as heat.
It's considerably safer than gas/liquid fuel and an open flame.
Ceramic...

I much prefer this shape:
In fact, I really like the whole vape!
[/:cry:]
How about......a small adapter to make the VapCap 510 drip tip compatible?
The selection of drip tips available is mind-boggling, and sure to have something to satisfy all!
I certainly agree that the absence of hand craft might make a design less appealing to Dan's customer base, but the successful marriage of both approaches could yield something very special that may well delight us all.
I personally love both aesthetics, separately, but a good mashup is tough...
Thanks for the writeup @PPN
I was looking forward your thoughts, and you didn't disappoint :)
Do you think your MK1 was faulty, or just a bad design?
I like the look of this device, and like that two temp's are available, but would prefer an atomizer where my oil doesn't touch the wire...
This is all just great news George!
These are brilliant developments :science:
The Ed/Dynavap tag-team is really producing the goods!
Ed might be holding off on the custom work for a while to get production inventory made, but if you two keep reading my mind a custom won't be necessary...
This is going to be fascinating!
Can I ask if your preference is to design something intended for mass manufacture, small batch production or a one-off artisan piece?
I don't want to make assumptions!
I love your sources of inspiration, and bet lots of us here share your love of this stuff...
Oh wow! what an idea.
That really would be superb, but I bet it would be very costly to make.
I have seen reasonably affordable Damasteel pens though, so maybe I'm wrong?

I've just asked George if he and Ed's TnT would be up for making a custom Dyna-WonG for me, and he told me that he and Ed are already working on this!
I'm uncertain whether previous WonG's for the Dynavap have the...
Definitely not!
I don't think that you should need to clean the wooden piece at all (if I'm understanding things correctly) as vapor doesn't touch it.
The condenser tube and tip should be all you need to clean on a woodie.
I don't have mine yet, and am no expert, so anyone please correct me...
Uncanny, and beautiful.
I love that it's trees in the painting.
I had been looking at rosedale's cocobolo dog and thinking that the grain pattern reminded me of a landscape of islands disappearing into the horizon.
Great stuff Snappo (and UD!) waiting for your next discovery is like...
