Yes I was asked to return my chargers along with my OG Hoppers. I opened RMAs for both OG Hoppers that I wanted to trade in. Both were older and not working correctly. I did not just ask for credit on working OG Hoppers.

I think that all Hoppers "tick" to some degree, but it's not always audible to the user. I finally used my new power brick with the AC adapter and the IO yesterday. The "ticking" was definitely more noticeable with the AC adapter versus the battery, but it worked perfectly.

I can report that I received a replacement body for my SS IO exactly 10 days after opening my RMA. It's working correctly with the replacement body. This is one case where Hopper's customer service was prompt and efficient.
