yes, a further purge will definitely work, just be as gentle as possible and use as little heat as possible. my grape god shatter still had some tane trapped in it, (i actually don't prefer shatter either, it is easy for tane to get trapped in it, i like a nice taffy consistency) so i purged it...

i have no bias against budder, but a lot of the time it happens, trapped butane is the culprit and trapped tane is bad. as for it degrading faster, just think for a second, what degrades THC? light and exposure to air. when you whip up budder, you are trapping air, and creating a more stable...

this is the reason most people prefer oil to budder, as it degrades at a much quicker rate, becomes dry and crumbly, and therefore harder to dab.

if you want budder, increase your purge temps, and whip it up. moisture also helps. this is also the first time i've heard of anybody wanting budder over shatter! cloudy bubbles and autobuddering indicate trapped butane, cloudy is bad :(

you need the curved blade attachment for the exacto, but i just heat my dish prior to the spray to contain the blast radius away from any corners. alternatively a thin razor blade can be used, just make sure it doesn't snap from too much bending

you could still do that by blasting into a jar filled with some alcohol, then putting a filter over the jar and straining into an evap dish.

if you do try this, refilter the alcohol/butane/extract, as alcohol is a polar solvent(butane being non-polar), and plant waxes and fats will not be redissolved in the alcohol. I've been meaning to give this tech a go, i just hate how long it takes for alcohol to dissolve, and part of me feels...

i like grinding up just enough herb for my session. i actually like the ritual of grinding my herb, so i don't mind doing it several times a day.

when i do small runs the rest of my tube is unpacked, which is why i expect smaller yields. i use a bamboo skewer to pack down the buds through the 'tane entry hole to get them as tight as possible before blasting. also i actually think i might be getting a toro macro and a cool dome instead...

hmm, ideally you would want to be able to apply heat while the vacuum is pulled, i guess you could try a quick switcheroo from the oven, i would apply the lowest heat possible though, under 150 if your oven goes that low, my POS only goes down to 170 so i never use it
