    DaVinci MIQRO

I'm experimenting with an arrangement similar to that shown here for now [https://image.ibb.co/daqAzf/miqro-micro-screen.jpg] [Use the "pearl" to outline the shape on a standard thin screen and cut around the outer edge. Curve gently, insert]. It seems to work well and has the added advantage...

    DaVinci MIQRO

Here's what I found: I've had my MIQRO for a week and have been learning more (and appreciating more) all the while. But I thought that it was mysterious that the draw occasionally got much harder. I happen to prefer the flat mouthpiece. I cleaned it all once, just as a matter of course, and...

    DaVinci MIQRO

Is it inadvisable to try a 1200 mAh 18350 battery with the MIQRO? Thanks.

    Discontinued The Grasshopper

Too soon to draw a proper conclusion, but so far it is fulfilling everything I looked to the GH for. Here's the ironic thing - I did a lot of research, as one does, and Da Vinci seems to have a reputation for build and reliability that is 180 degrees opposed to that of Hopper Labs'. It is...

Right now they seem to have trouble even answering simple mail. I'm afraid it's not looking good for them at the moment. In fact, I just picked up a MIQRO because it's unclear I'll have anything ultraportable for a while with 2 GHs in the great beyond.

I'm sure there's no consensus on this, but I'd like to ask what most people jump to when they've given up on their GH. I've had one of mine in warranty repair for the better part of a year, and now my second one has died (lights go straight to blue). HL sent a "fix" to try (compressed air over...

I honestly don't think you should concern yourself with light use or temperatures, as problems have arisen regardless of reported usage patterns. IOW, if you get one, go for it - use it any way that suits you. My advice is to purchase one. In fact, my advice would be to purchase two, but that...

    Discontinued The Grasshopper

I purchased my first in October 2016. The clicker flaked on me twice, twice I got an RMA number, and twice it self-repaired within a few hours. So I'm still using that unit, happily, one year later. Victory? OTOH, I bought a second Ti in July, and that one is in CO on RMA this week.

If one isn't willing to shell out and wait, is there any consensus here on what charger works best for GH batteries? I looked through the forum, but couldn't quite tell whether the Nitecore unit was generally considered best, or just the most commonly used.

Most people I know have two, because they use it pretty heavily and they expect one to be "in the shop" from time to time. That says it all, no? With that understanding, I think the technology is perfectly sound, but the development process MUST involve constant compromise. It's possible that...

Agreed - no more here on that unit, out of respect for the guidelines. Good luck w/your GH!

There's a Youtube on the Ghost MV1 by a guy who goes by "420 Vapezone". It's easy to find. It's long and raw, but really looks at the details of the design. And I have to say that it seems like it should have spent more time on paper. The execution in three dimensions seems full of function issues.

Perhaps I am referring to another device. I thought you were speaking about the Ghost MV1, which you can see alongside other devices here (for example): It is a bit larger than the Arizer Solo, which is not generally considered to be very portable.

    Discontinued The Grasshopper

I purchased my 2nd in July and it failed yesterday. I would imagine quality control has improved, but my old one is about a year old, and while I've had two intermittent problems with it, and got RMA approvals, the problems corrected themselves (some mechanical thing in the clicker). So going by...

Have others also observed that the SS is better on electronic issues than the Ti? I ask because I have two Ti's but was recently asked by a complete novice whether they should get a GH, and I knew if it went south I'd hear about it in a way I didn't want to, so I advised against. It's obvious I...

Thanks! Terrific information. I've been out of touch, but I recall reading that Hopper Labs is planning to bring out a dedicated charger. Should allow me to better organize my cycling. Thanks again!

I'd like to ask a question about batteries: I've been rotating the same three batteries for about a year. I have a bunch of fresh ones, but I figured I'd squeeze the last out of the old ones first. Can anyone tell me when to just throw in the towel on old batteries? I notice that at this point...

    Discontinued The Grasshopper

Thanks! That actually worked for me in the past, but did not today. Perhaps it has something to do with the age and usage of the battery itself. That would be the only fundamental element that might have changed over time. The unit is functioning normally in every other respect, so I suppose I...

I have a technical question about a working GH. I used to be able to charge my unit using my iPhone charger. I can still recharge the unit plugging into the USB port on my computer, but the direct AC charge doesn't seem to work. Any thoughts welcome. Thanks!
