I'm looking forward to more reviews of the Alpine 2020 - it's such a handsome chassis. I am more drawn to it than the Apollo II ... with that garish graphic (Lucid's wood was way nicer, IMO) and mixed reviews. Several users (here, Reddit) have been disappointed with the Apollo's performance -...

Not that we should HAVE to, but can a Ti-tip's slightly over-sized flange be easily filed down (or sanded)? I filed notches in a S.S. tip's distal end and it filed quite easily with a cheap needle file. I know titanium is harder, but I've never worked with it. Is the difference between filing...

In the video of his AC unit, you can see smoke/vapor leaking out before the click. Personally, I do like the fact that it doesn't use the popular "Bottom of the Heat Chamber Tactile Switch" .

Yeh, sure ... at first ... until VAS comes along: Ti-tip, DynaStash, Desktop I.H., Portable I.H., Custom Stems, next year's model, etc., etc. Don't EVER add it all up ...

One of our fur-babies looks a lot like that one. OMG, if my wife saw her covered in Styrofoam peanuts like that she'd be screaming at me ... "she's gonna' choke, she's gonna' eat it, the fumes are gonna' kill her ... get it OFF of her, get it off NOW!!!! ... Hurry!!!! Stop LAUGHING and get it...

Regarding an extension cable to add some resistance, how would (or wouldn't) gathering and coiling the extra cable tightly, say with 3" diameter loops, effect things differently from leaving the extra length un-coiled and loose? What about gathering the coil in bow-tie like "accordion" loops...

I like nuts and bolts better. A 6-32 is smaller than a 10-32.

Thanks, Teach! Silly me ... I thought the electricity would have to work harder to go through the thicker wire ... HaHaHa. Of course, I see it now. It's more like water free-flowing through a wide pipe, but then struggling to get through a narrow pipe and getting backed up due to the...

Such a simple thing to suck some power! Along these lines, would a heavier gauge wire in a shorter length work, as well ... say a foot long length of AWD 10?

Here is a preview: https://www.reddit.com/r/ToggenGear/comments/g7c2mr/for_those_who_where_asking_this_is_the_alpine/ I see the main board, the BMS, cabling ... but ... no MOSFET module (maybe his BMS is custom)?

From where did you get the "1.5 amps" information? The label you show lists the output as 12v ... 6.0A, with center pin POS (outer shield NEG). This should work. Do you have a volt meter (multi-meter) to verify its output? It is possible that the power supply is defective.

    Induction Heater - 2020 offerings?

General shape of a Flux Deluxe, no doubt. I doubt it's a clone gut-wise, though! Still, I did express a concern about cloning/piracy of Mr. C's design. I can certainly envision a reverse-engineering rip-off of all his R&D ... it just happens. Like they say, "Imitation is the sincerest form...

    Induction Heater - 2020 offerings?

Found another one - in Vietnam, I think. https://www.reddit.com/user/Ladat420/ You can probably tell by now, but I only recently discovered Reddit. There's SO much cool stuff on there ... this COVID-19 "stay@home" has gotta' pass soon - I'm becoming an on-line addict! In addition to the...

Ha. The moment I heard the guitar in your video of the Flix, I thought, "huh, that music, along with the brushed aluminum chassis, makes me think I'm looking at a video of a one-man-shop's custom stomp pedal, not an I.H.". Seriously, no kidding!

Two hands? I don't see that (?). You plop the DynaVap into the chamber and let it be ... then, you press the moment switch until the "click". Then you release the momentary switch and then snag the DV. You're still only using one hand, but you're just pressing an external switch directly...

Are we gonna' see "Mr. C from Cali" on Shark Tank soon? It might be time to quit his real job, open an ISO 9000 facility, get all the certs. (UL, CE, etc.) and secure his legacy ... before we start seeing Chinese clones an AliExpress for $50 (or whatever price they'll come up with to compete...

Wow ... All the features I wanted! Of course, now that I know more about them, I want even more features! A 2nd parking magnet would be good, and a voltage potentiometer would be cool, to adjust the power and corresponding temp. Can the coil height be adjusted like on the Flux Deluxe? Pipes...
