I think I've narrowed my button issues down to the rubbery outer cover. When the button starts feeling sticky, I use my thumbs to massage it down and it seems better for a session or two. This could be a complete placebo, but if it feels like it helps, it helps!

Yes, the material is soft enough to remove it and replace. But I soak mine with it in and then a quick brush to finish. Easier imo.

While I agree that it's possible with the BCG, and not most others...... I've found it grinds faster and easier off center like all the others. For me, it's still the grind consistency that makes it special. The colors, lack of threading etc. are just bonuses!

Try cleaning the connection points at the atty. Both sides of threading, atty and unit and see if that helps. Mine had had some different light flashing combos I never worried about because this cleaning corrected my issues.

Got my replacement Helix pieces today, both seal very well. I guess I can't compare the sealing version to the one that didn't, but the Helix OT (original top is how I see it labeled on the site now?) has a lot more draw resistance than I expected. But boy does it hit smooth! I haven't tried...
